Tony Award WINNER J. Harrison Ghee coming in HOT to your feed on a Tuesday!
We filmed this number for "Some Like It Hot" in Brooklyn on a Friday in April just before 2023 Tony nominations were announced. There was excitement in the air for good reason. J. is a pro, or rather, an enigma, standing tall and full to the brim with grace and power, every ounce deserving and the sum of a Tony performer. The show would receive 13 Tony nominations alone, as well as top recognition throughout the season's awards and reviews circuit.
I had seen the show the evening before and although I've done a number of projects supporting it and can claim admiration for the pedigree of talent involved, the real magic is how it comes together on stage and must be seen in person. This video is just a glimpse of the captivating performance J. and the cast bring every night. It's a show that sneaks up on you by design (using every craft of design to do so) affirming in spades that life can be complicated but LOVE IS LOVE. I hope we embody that here and give you yet another reason to get to the theater (also now coming to your corner of the country on tour in 2024).
